Some preposition uses

Hello everyone,

I ve been downloading lots of worksheets and sometimes I got some activities with different uses of prepositions and they are so varied that I am now in doubt if the correct form is one or another of perhaps both of them.

Please, if someone is sure about their uses help me identify the correct use of these prepositions.

Here are some example sentences:

The music on/in the album was released ...
The images that are shown on/in the videoclip...
The band has been in/to Europe...

Thanks in advance

I m sure only about the last one.

"The band has been in Europe" means that they are still there, e.g. I ve been in Europe since 1982. He s been in Atlanta for 10 years now.

"The band has been to Europe" means that they went there and they are already back, e.g. I ve been to Europe twice. They travel a lot, they ve been to Canada, US, Mexico, France and Germany.

Hope it s of some help to you!

Hugs,

Kasia

I did a small research and with music we use "on the album", e.g. The first song on their new album is ......

With photos and other albums we use in (I think those which have a form of a book), e.g. The photos in your album are great!

Note: For photo albums we always use IN, even if now they are often virtual.

Hugs,

Kasia

Another bit of research and I come up with the last bit:)

With video clips it s IN, e.g. In this video clip we can see the impact of 1960s music.

The music on/in the album was released ...
The images that are shown on/in the videoclip...
The band has been in/to Europe...

This is correct.
