The plural of starfish is starfish.  (Starfishes is an alternative)

When I was at the beach I saw three starfish in a rock pool.

The plural of fish is fish.

There were lots of fish in the pond. (Fishes is an alternative - not incorrect but rarely used.)

If I m not mistaken the plural of fish is fish if they are of the same kind. If there is a variety then you use fishes. "I saw a school of fish." "There were manykinds of fishes in the tank."
