Thank you brookee and Flora1. That very useful information but I know that there is another name to call it. Something like "signature".
 
BTW, some time ago, somebody posted a site to Shorten these web addresses. Does anybody remember it?

I refer to it as the web address.  I�m not sure about signature but sometimes your system may indicate that there is a problem with the web site�s security certificate and you then have some options of whether to proceed or not.
 
I shorten these addresses by highlighting the address, pressing Shift and Backspace at the same time to delete the letters and then retyping what I want e.g here.  As soon as I press the space bar the newly named hyperlink ends.  There are probably other ways to do this so I shall keep my eyes glued to this post this afternoon to see what others suggest because I missed that post too.
