Hello friends, I need your help. How do you call:

1. a person who helps you to cross the street
2. a person who teaches you to drive a car
3. a person who speaks in a radio

Thanks a lot, Silvia :)

Hi Silvia,

In the Uk number 1 would be a lollypop lady/man
In the US number 1 would be a crossing guard

2-driving instructor
3-radio announcer or a DJ

Hope this helps!

Confused Hello, I need your help!
I have a doubt about the word "VACATION", CAN I USE THIS WORD IN SINGULAR AND IN PLURAL FORM? For example: How was your vacation? or
How were your vacations?   - what is correct?

Or: Last month, Jhon was on vacation.  or
                          Jhon was on vacation.

Please give me some ideas, Thanks.

@Silvia - 1 - perhaps you could call that person a "Good Samaritan" (someone who helps out of kindness - not because they must - just because they are good people)
If it is something they "must" do, you may call them an "Aide"
I agree with Frank for 2 and 3.

@Casmo - "on vacation"
He was on vacation.   (no problem)
He was on vacation last month.  (no problem)
and plural...  He took three vacations last year.
