Try using conversation cards.
Choose subjects that are interesing - such as
his hobbies, films, music, sports etc.

also memory games - and board games too.

Youll find lots of good materials here.

Do you know the level of English this student has?
P.S. Libertybelles recommendations are just fine for adult students, games can be used with everybody.

Pre-intermediate is a great level. If he needs conversational English, try using speaking cards, lots of them, choose a topic, say, music, find lists of questions you can ask him (iteslj.org) and develop a good discussion in English. Also you can base a discussion on a listening text from listenaminute.com, this will help him improve listening skills as well, then after listening find questions to ask him.
Books? Hmm, not sure any book will be useful for such a short period of time, taking into account he is interested in spoken English. If he also wishes to brush up his grammar and vocabulary, you may try Language to go series. Why Language to go? Because its good for an intensive English course.

I also use Impact Issues, http://www.longmanjapan.com/search/onlinecatalog.html?id=708, one of my fav books to use in Speaking and Listening classes.

Dear Asyuta!

Try this page: http://www.elllo.org/
You"ll find a huge amount of audio and video material here to support any conversational topic. Plus  there is a downloadable transcript for each item supported by vocabulary and compmrehension quiz. And you ll find some good questions to the topic to personalise the conversation. Hope I could help you with tiis site.
My other suggestion to visit the official website of the Educational Ministry of Russian Federation : window.edu.ru

Your specialists create the best teaching materials!!! And this site is a public library from where you can download tonnes of material free and legally, in high quality both in content and format.
Cheers and have a nice day! Желаю тебе счастья и хороших резултатов!
