semicolon

good morning dear colleagues, my question here concerns semicolon vs. comma
which punctuation mark is correct in the following sentences:
- she is wearing a dress; a red dress.
or
she is wearing a dress, a red dress.

A semi-colon is used between two clauses, and "a red dress" is just a phrase, so you can t use a semi-colon there. I would suggest a dash instead of a comma.
