hi my friends,
I�m preparing some material for my FCE students - but I have a very serious doubt.
Is this sentence correct?
Heavy smokers are more likely to suffer serious illness than non-smokers. RUNS
A heavy smoker ______?________ serious illness than non-smoker.
runs more chances to suffer????

The way it would be completed in the US is ""A heavy smoker runs more risk of suffering..."
To run the risk of something is to have the likelihood that it will happen.
