							| Teaching phrasal verbs
 |
							| Dear colleagues,   Once again I ask for your help and advice. How do you usually teach phrasal verbs? My students get bored when dealing with them. Do you play any games with phrasal verbs? Which ones? Which method do you use when teaching phrasal verbs? Thanks in advance for your answers. | 11 Oct 2010

							| Once I had an English teacher that made us to mime to people try to discorver the phrasal verb, here we also have  worksheets about this subject because I remember that I downloaded it once. | 12 Oct 2010

							| I have posted a phrasal verb domino game.  I also made some small flashcards which I use with a board game - every time a student lands on a square with a ? they have to take a card and say the phrasal verb. If wrong they go back one space.  I think you should also find crosswords here. you can get some flashcards from mes-english.  We also do three-in-a-row - I put 20 cards 5x4 lines on the table.  Ss take turns to name the verb and turn it over facing them if correct.  first Ss to make 3 in a row wins.  They love this as it is fast.
People have posted lists of flashcard games here.
The hardest part is getting them to use the verbs correctly. Especially
as often they are difficult to translate well into Spanish.
