WORD OF THE DAY -

Hi everyone!
sorry for posting this message so late, but it s Saturday and I had decided not to wake up... and I didn t know I had won...

anyway let s play our word of the day game:

today s word is gadzooks

remember, do not use a dictionary/google, try to find your own definition, the funniest will have the chance to choose tomorrow s word of the day.

have a great day!!!
Elodie

P.S.: for newbies, if you know what this word means, try not to put the real definition, but make a few funny sentences to explain what it means!!!

Morning,
Gadzooks = Modern adaptation of God rules! , mainly used by  happy nuns.
Gad : God
Zooks : zouks = Style of dance music.

Eg : "Gadzooks!" said the nun going to church.

gad (wander) + ZOO + ok + s (plural form)

gadzooks - people who gad about ZOO all day long and think it is really ok (in fact, it is not and they need a help of specialist - gadzooker)

Oh! That s nice: for this rainy-cold-indoors-activity-wanting weekend, Elodie has come up with a good old indoor-rainy-day-game! How  thoughtful of you dear  :o))

Gadzooks =It s the name of this game, known for centuries

GAD = Give me a D
zooks = an old mix of zoo and seek

When it is raining hard outside, sitting by the fire, nobody wants to read anymore, you often take up this game, very simply:
- One person cries out "Give me a D "
-Everybody round starts to look for vocabulary words starting with a D designing an animal.

Example: Daredevil Droopy Daisy dragon ....

-The great difficulty of this game is to provide proof your animal doesn t exist in the local zoo.
