Proverb

I have found a proverb which is very much used translated into Spanish but I m not sure if it is equally used in English "Two in distress makes sorrow less". Can you help me and tell me if it is used nowadays?
Thanks in advance
Yolanda

I only know this very common one:

A sorrow shared is a sorrow halved.

I would say that the more common version is "a problem shared is a problem halved"

I ve heard "Shared joy is double joy.  Shared sorrow is half the sorrow."  Also, "A shared joy is twice the joy.  A shared pain is half the pain."

It doesn t quite "ring" for me and there are slightly different versions, so it made sense when I read that it s actually the translation of a Swedish proverb.
