Songs for practising months of the year and rooms in the house

Hello everyone Wink I m a student of English and  I don t own  enough materials to teach :( I need songs for teaching months of the year and rooms in the house to children in the age of 10 and 11.
I would be ever so grateful if somebody could send me audiofiles or useful links where I could find this kind of songs. my e-mail is :[email protected]

With regards,

Aga

Hi dear teacher!

For days of the week, you could use Friday Im in love (The Cure) and for months I can think of  I just called to say I love you (Steve Wonder). Both songs are very engaging, as regards rhythm. However,  Friday I m in love has got much easier vocabulary than the months song which is a bit more complicated for 10 and 11 year old students. But of course it depends on their level of English and you could use it all the same by simply focusing on the months and practising listening skills :)
I hope you find them useful :)
Have a wonderful day!

For months of the year, there is this song (you ll laugh at the costumes):

I have the song. Just pm me with your email address if you want it and I ll email to you.

There is a song we used to sing while we were skipping rope.  It starts:

Apples, peaches, pears and plums,
tell me when your birthday comes.

Then you go through the months in order.

In class your kids can sing the song and when they hear their month,  they stand up.

You don t always need songs.  Have you thought of basic chants?  How about with physical activities?
example
Basic clap beat they know to start with to basic sayings like "What month is it?"
"It is .....  " then say all the months and when it is the month do some interesting movement.
or name your months with similar procedure
I did stand on January, sit in February, stand in march and so on till December to a taaaday and a weird movement that makes the students laugh.
It may seem simple but for some reason many of my students in many ages seem to actually find it funny and even several of my trouble students join in.  I have had some real trouble students over the years too and they liked it even if they didn t participate in the rest of the class.  With some of the older students you can also have them create a song or chant to teach the class as well.  Had students in jail enjoy both.
