Is it correct

Dear teachers,
The negative form of this sentence ( I usually go shopping )
Is I never go shopping.

My question is: Is it correct to say ( I don t usually go shopping )

Thanks in advance

It is correct grammatically BUT it doesnt mean exactly the same thing as "I never go shopping".

I dont usually go shopping means that you dont tend to go shopping, but you do once in a while.

I never go shopping means exactly that... you do not go shopping - ever.

Cheers,

I also agree with Zora but I d like to add the following:

I think "never" would be the right choice if the sentence contains "always".

You can also say "I don t go shopping very often" ... here again you go shopping but occasionally.

So it all depends on the meaning you want to convey.

Good luck :)

As the antonym of usually is rarely, Id say the correct answer would be; I rarely go shopping.

Enjoy.

Could it be:
" I m not used to going shopping?
