Hi! I think is LANTERN because it looks old. The word LAMP is used for the modern ones or those used in a night table. (Check on Google!!!) jeje
Good luck!

I think it s a lantern, too...But perhaps an answer from a native speaker would be more helpful.

Notice the differences:
This is a TABLE LAMP  This is a DESK LAMP                These are OIL LAMPS

If I was describing the light I would call it a decorative lantern-style wall lamp.

(Sometimes called coach lamps, after the lights on a Horse drawn coach)

It could be called a lantern. (Because of the old fashioned shape)

Now this is a lantern! Wink

But in terms of the question I wouldn t call it a lantern, because I imagine something movable when "lantern" is used, but this looks like is will be attached to a wall.
It would be possible to use lantern-shaped light/lamp, or some kind of decorative wall light/lamp.
Lamp can mean many things, such as the actual light fixtures, which El Prof Alex had pictures of, or it could be the thing that gives off light, such as incandescent bulb = incandescent lamp, or fluorescent tube = fluorescent lamp.

Lantern or lamp or outdoor lantern or outdoor lamp or wall lantern. If you look at websites which sell them they use both terms. eg. lampsusa.com

My personal choice would be lantern because it just sounds more fairytale-like for such a pretty light as the one in your picture
