aaaa good one!
I used this word once to describe a student.....had to get it off my chest but didn t want to seem too rude...
This is a fairly new word, a bit more sophisticated but of the same category as bullshitologist.  It is a combinations of phlegm and yarn with the addition of ologist to give it an air of distinction. In it s most primary form it refers to those (hopefully kids) who pride themselves on their ability to produce long threads of slimy spit.

From here the word evolved to indicate those who seem to be preoccupied with just that and not much more, e.g. the kid who runs around spitting at others or grossing them out by showing just how long his thread of spit can be before sucking it back in....(in this context I used it in my evaluation of one of my students, as I mentioned before)
In its most abstract form it is an euphemism for the pre-verbal  variant of someone who is full if shit i.e. someone who is full of spit

PHLY=... DR.Phyl...
UROLOGIST....instead: ...AROLOGIST.....
