By the way, why couldn �t you simply ask for people �s opinions on this particular topic and use a link to the Reuters article to stimulate debate - rather than just posting a copy/paste job? Especially after your previous infantile contribution. What did you expect?

I �m American Leelei and I didn �t take offense to your post.  Obviously this article is an example of one extreme, but overall, I would say that the trend is to start serious schooling younger and younger--which I think is a problem.  I didn �t want that for my own children and deliberately went out of my way to make sure they got to go to a preschool where the main focus was on socialization, play, coordination etc.
