Teaching students English can help them to understand and communicate in a very popular international language. It is good for both works and studies. In addition, learning an foreign language may give some impacts to students s brains. It may stimulate some cognitive structures. In fact, the process of mastering a new language (e.g. English) can make students to become smarter. Therefore, practically and theoretically speaking, we need more language teachers.

It is the dominant language in many books, newspapers, airports and air-traffic control, technology, sports, pop music and advertising. In general, the universal language on the Internet is the English.
In the future you can travel to any English speaking country without the need of have a translator. Usually, if you dont know the language your trip would be hard and maybe you wouldnt enjoy it.
You can pass the IGCSE and IELTS exams and enter a good British University and study.
Learn English will help you to communicate with people who speak a different language. English is also helpful if I am going to move to a different country because it is a global language.
A lot of educational information and material is in English; therefore to have access to this material or maybe communicate with other students it is necessary to have knowledge of English.
Your knowledge in English will help you find a job. Nowadays in the competitive job market it is necessary to speak English. So if you learn English you will have a better chance of getting a job that pays more and travel and co operate with people in other countries.

English is a wonderful language rich of Latin roots and Saxon roots. That way English is a wonderful "marriage" between a colorful Latin way of thinking and a pragmatical Saxon way of understanding the events.
Teaching English, then, widely opens the students mind, whatever their age is ! Teaching English is sharing a very rich experience. Warm imagination of Latin civilisation AND reasonable Saxon behavior give English a very strong taste of tolerance AND successful association of opposite AND complementary thoughts ! |

Why teach English:
To contribute to giving students a chance for a better education.
Here in Mexico, a student can go all his life without studying English, but at the end of whatever career he chooses, he must pass an English Internationa Exam. How illogical, since they should include English in all public schools from elementary level! English is only mandatory in private schools, but public schools don t have the same opportunity.
To give students a chance for better paying jobs. It s more and more common, that in order to work in an important company, you must know 2 languages, your mother tongue and English. Now more languages are being included, but English is the number one option.
And in my personal case, teaching English is just DOING WHAT I LIKE and getting paid for it! Maybe not as good as I should be, but it s worth it!!!
