CUT AND PASTE...?
 
Hi dear colleagues,

I work with young sts and I like to work with "cut and paste" but I �m not sure if it is correct... so should I use "cut and paste" or "cut and glue" or what!!! ???? Wacko

Cut & paste sounds more natural to me but I don �t see why you couldn �t use glue.

Cut and paste is correct because you are talking about two verbs. Glue is used more commonly as a noun, "----use glue to paste the pictures in your notebook".

It really depends on whether you are using paste or glue. Both words can be verbs. It �s definitely correct to use the verb "paste" no matter which adhesive product you are using, though, so you can be correct with "cut and paste" either way.

To paste something is also to glue it onto a surface of some sort. In the old days people make glue from flour and water which was a type of paste - a noun which later became a verb.

Good morning!

Thanks all of you for answering and giving me such an interesting information!!! It really helps me �coz I was kinda confused... but I preferred the cut and paste, it sounds better... Big smilehihi (it �s a teacher or mine that told me that " It sounds better, it �s correct"... Maybe she �s right Wink).
