It would be a pair OF scissors so as that �s not there, I �d go with some (although I never say "some scissors" - maybe that �s more of an American thing?)
 
2. I think the sentence would sound better if you make changed the bikes to bike: Children ...... by bike.

In the context you wrote:
 
1) Try to find me __________ scissors.
 
a) a pair     b) two     c) some       d)one
 
�A pair� is incorrect here because �of� is not included. �Some� is perfectly acceptable in everyday informal spoken English although perhaps not taught. 
 
2) In some countries children normally go ______________    bikes.
 
a) to school on     b) to school by       c) to the school on     d) to the school by
