I would use "passed" if you successfully completed the test
You passed!
I d use past in the situation when you don t want to dredge up the past, you just say: let s get past this |

A successful grade "passes", so the only correct form is "passed". He passed the test easily. In the past, he passed every course. Bruce |

Of course, "passed" is the correct spelling. However I do think that if you are using this term as a grade written on an exam paper, it should really be "pass" (or "fail"). I would add though, that this is a rather harsh way of expressing a grade.
