What expressions or words do you use when it ´s really hot and you can hardly stand it?

What expressions or words do you use when it ´s really hot and you can hardly stand it?

When I was in England a couple of weeks ago, I realized I didn t know what expressions or words I could use to express that sensation. What do native people say in that situation?
Thanks for your help
Yolanda

Hi Yolanda,
the use of   "It s baking today" is quite common in the UK
I ve also heard New Yorkers refer to a stifling day as "a dog day" as in dog days of summer or Dog Day Afternoon" a classic movie starring Al Pacino
