Meaning of a T-shirt sentence

One of my students just called me to ask what the words on her new T-shirt mean: "MY PARENTS PUT MY DRUMS UNDER LOCK ON THE KEYFOR TODAY"
I told her that keyfor were actually 2 words (key for) and the overall meaning would be that the poor parents were tired of hearing the drums and locked them away.  Any other suggestions?

Hi Anna

We usually say under lock and key for the definition you wrote.

English mistakes are common on T-shirts, esp. when made and sold in countries where English is not widely spoken. For some hilarious examples, click here.
