for example in this sentence wich one is correct:

__________________I normally enjoy detective stories, I found that one a bit predictable.

                     a) However               B) Altough             C) But

These three are contrasting ideas, so all of them are possible? this is one the sentences that I have to explain tomorrow.

Meyling,
I hope this explanation and examples will help you.

"Although" is used at the beginning of a clause to show some sort of contradiction.
"However" is the same as "but", but it is usually set off by commas and in a different sentence.
Here are some examples:

Although I normally enjoy detective stories, I found that one a bit predictable. (This is the only correct qnswer to your example)
I normally enjoy detective stories, although I found that one a bit predictable.
I normally enjoy detective stories, but I found that one a bit predictable.
I normally enjoy detective stories. However, I found that one a bit predictable.
I normally enjoy detective stories. I found that one a bit predictable, however. (Less common than the others)

Also I can add
however can be followed by adjective
for example
However hard the questionis, I will answer it.
However expensive, I will buy it.
I wish I had helped.
