Help with reflection questions connected to literature

Hi,

After every literature unit I teach (story or poem) I have to give the pupils reflection questions (this is part of our new literature program in high school). I have made a list of questions but it is very limited. I would like to ask you for your help and add questions to my list.

If you know a website that can help me on this topic please inform me.

1.       Did you enjoy reading the story? Why or why not?

2.       Did you think the story ______________is a good story? Explain

3.       What did you find interesting or memorable about the story?

4.       Which character in the story made the greatest impression on you? Explain why.

5.       In what ways can you apply the ideas in the poem to your own life?

6.       What did you learn from reading the poem?

7.       What did you find interesting, moving, or upsetting about the poem?

Thank you,

Debbie

What kind of a story is it (i.e. is it a detective story, an adventure story etc.)?
Who is the author of the story and what do you know about him/her?
Can you name and give a short description of the main characters in the story?
Would you recommend this story to a friend?
