Help me with this doubt!!!

Well I ve been in trouble with this expression,I was sure that it was incorrect but I saw in a series. I went sleep after school. X I went to sleep after school. Wich one can/can t I use and if it s common by native speakers.

I d use "I went to sleep after school." not "I went sleep after school". since "go" almost always has a preposition after it; the most common is "to".

You can also say "I went to bed after school", but if you use "go" and "sleep", you must also use "to". Positive.
