Do they use BACHELOR PARTY both for the women �s and the men �s pre-wedding gathering.I �ve heard the version HEN PARTY but it sounds very ugly to me:)

In the UK, we use hen party or hen night.  I think in the US they use bachelorette party.

We say Hens Night or Hens Party (using plural, not singular). 
 
In the dim dark ages, when women gave up their career and aspired to be good housewives, it used to be a Kitchen Tea but these days we career women want less time in the kitchen and more time out having fun just like the men.
