Revision game - DIY

 Dear Friends,

Heres another DIY game:

I made this chart many years ago to make the revision lessons funnier, more challenging.

I divide the class into groups (of 3 or 4). The first group choose a category and a number. I read the question or give it to them. If they provide me the correct answer, they get one point. If they don t know the right answer, the next team can answer it and can get the point. The group with the most points is the winner.

I use the following categories:
mixed-up sentence (jumbled sentence), structure (eg. past forms of the verbs, making qs...), spelling (usually jumbled words) and translation (both English to Hungarian and Hungarian to English).
But you can choose other categories like vocabulary, reading, miming etc.

Have a nice day!

Hugs,
Georgina

Excellent! I am going to make it. But how to make it more portable, hm? :)

It s made of paper (paperboard/cardboard and envelopes) so you can roll it. :-)

Can you give us an example of the sentences in the envelopes? What does structure or mixed-up mean? :)

Mixed-up or Jumbled sentences:
Ss have to put them into the correct order.
eg. ARE / DANGEROUS / BUT / VERY / CROCODILES !
But crocodiles are very dangerous!

Structures:
It depends on the unit they learn.
eg.
1) Put the following sentence into Simple Past Tense.
Jane gets up at seven o clock.
Sol.: Jane got up at seven o clock.

2) What was the question?
-...?
-They live in London.
Sol.: -Where do they live?

3) Write a sentence using the given word:
usually
Sol.: I usually have soup for lunch.

4) Negate the following sentence:
Sam will travel to Bristol next month.
Sol.: Sam won t travel to Bristol next month.

or sg else you want to revise.

Spelling:
Ss have to find out the words.
eg. RENOMUOS
Sol.: enormous

I love this idea. I ve always taught groups of very young learners, but I will definitely try this if I ever teach older students.
Thank you!
