I remember my history teacher, Mr Miret. I was 12 years old. I was pretty scared the very first day he came into the class. He was very tall and thin and very serious but he was great at explaining events. He never read the book, he just stood in the middle of the class moving his hands up and down, gesticulating, staring directly at our faces while he was explaining the topic of the day with all the anecdotes, I remember we laughed a lot at his jokes about Kings and Queens and prehistoric men and so on. It was GREAT, and of course, it was quite easy to study to study his subject. |
