Question for French Teachers / People
|
Hello everyone, How are you? My question today is mainly about a word that is used in France. In my adult classes, I have a couple who has been to France. They wanted to tell me about the name of a place where they had eaten and seen a show. They told me it is like The Moulin Rouge, but that they didnt know how that place was called. I insist in the details they told me: A place where they had dinner (they paid for entrance) and saw a show (singers or dancers or acrobats) in France. I hope you get the idea of my question, since I have never travelled to France! Thanks in advance!

In Quebec, we call that a "souper spectacle" but I can t say that s the same word used in France.

A cabaret, I think there is no other word which can so precisely describe these show rooms; you can also say a night club, but it is not exactly the same kind of show.
Let s wait for Place Pigale to have some more info.
