Dear teachers!
I am looking for some activities to test the speaking skills of the students of grade 8. I wonder if you could help me find some really useful and interesting activities.

Hi.
You can use discussion starters like stating a problem and asking Ss about the answer if they are assumed to be educational advisory committee, or,
example of another activity,
write CONTINUE  --   STOP-- STARTon the board/chart. Ask ur pupil to speak up using each word and answer :
what are the things your best friend should CONTINUE doing?
What are the things your best friend should STOP doing?
What are the things your best friend should START doing?
Other activities can be telling :
Picture differences
Picture descriptions
Picture stories
Giving Directions

 take their views about movies like Harry porter and dicuss
 etc
