He wishes he would become the karate champion in the future.
He wishes he could become the karate champion in the future.
and
My parents wish they  would buy a house in the countriside next year.
My parents wish they could buy a house in the countryside next year.
What is the differences between "would" and "could" in this structure?

could and could.

could= can
Would= want

With "wish", we use "would" for other people, but not for ouselves.
 
I wish you would turn down the radio.
I wish my boss would trust me more.
I wish the rain would stop.
 
I wish I could speak fluent Portuguese.
I wish we could work together.
