Skilled / skillful

Hi everybody!

I guess I need your help again. If you happen to have the time, please have a look at this sentence: “In some areas being skilled in English gives candidates access to be best jobs.” Is it correct or shouldn’t we use skillful instead of skilled?

Thanks in advance!

skilled
so if you take into consideration the phrase skilled in smth, than skilled is exactly the adjective to use.
