Homeschooling my 4 year-old son...help!!!

Hi all,

I live and work in China and have decided to home school my four year-old son one day a week and continue to send him to kindergarten here for the other four days. I d like to ask to community here for advice on two things:

1. Do you know any websites where I could follow a syllabus suitable for him, giving him a balanced curriculum and good materials?

2. I want to teach him how to read, but have limited amounts of books available here in China. are there any good websites fr teaching reading? (I have checked out Starfall, which is excellent, however the accent is very American and being from England, I d prefer him to have a British accent).

Thanks in advance,

Stuart

Hi,

http://www.homeschool-activities.com

http://www.homeschooling-ideas.com

superteacherworksheets.com

www.primaryresources.co.uk

Have a look at these - though I m not sure if they have books exactly.  I think the best thing you can do is read as many books to your son as you can.

bookdepository.co.uk is a fab website with free shipping of books worldwide.  I live in Indonesia and use this site regularly to get books for my son (also 4!).  I m also homeschooling my son as of next year :)

If you need anything, you can email me at [email protected]  I have a few workbooks I could email to you.

Good luck!
