tag question or question tag?

Hi dear friends!
This can sound a silly question but it really bothers me. I have seen in different English books /Tag Questions and Questions Tag/ Which one is the right name of this grammar? Are both correct?
thank you very much.

Both are correct, although it s "question tags", not "questions tag". I think that "tag questions" is more common, but I m not really sure about it. That s what I call them, anyway.

A question tag is the "mini-question" at the end.
A tag question is the whole sentence.

It s a bit like past simple or simple past.....both seem quite common.
