HI, Halil! You can say it, but it has a different meaning.
I am very good= I am a very good person.(kind)
I am very well= I m feeling well or I m doing OK.

I beg to differ, Anita, as far as I know in AmEng it IS used in the same sense.
E.g. - How are you? - Oh, I m good. (meaning "I m fine")
It is an informal way of speaking though.

HI

As a British person I would use "I m very good" to mean "I m very well" as well as to mean "I m a good person" so I think it s fine.

@Sophia - agreed - informally, it s fine.

Anita and Sophia,
You re both right. We might say "I m good" in response to a question of "How are you", but not otherwise (if we mean our health). However, we wouldn t say "I m very good" about health. "I m feeling very good" would be used, though.

Only really cool English people say I m good , cos it is an Americanism. It should be I m OK , or I m fine, thanks .
