The first one is correct if they both give the same awards.If they give different ones then the second is right. Look at the following examples:John and Mary �s mother is going to attend the school show, John �s and Mary �s mothers(that is, John �s mother and Mary �s mother) are going to attend the school show. " �s " is written after the nominal part of the phrase, so I agree that the first variant is a correct one.
