how about this one  http://www.josiespoems.webeden.co.uk/#/likes-and-dislikes/4542902656
And why not let them write a list poem which btw doesn t have to rhyme:)
This lesson plan is meant for 8-year-olds, but maybe you ll like the idea http://www.educationworld.com/a_tsl/archives/02-1/lesson026.shtml

I have a game that keeps the students on their toes!
You start in one corner.
The first students says something like," I like pizza"
The one sitting next to him says: He likes pizza and I like football.
The next one says (pointing) he likes pizza, she likes football and I like my computer.

You go from student to student - and of course they have to listen, especially the last one who has to remember all the others!

if you have too many kids, make two groups and have them sit in a circle.
This not only teaches likes and dislikes, but also verbs in 1st and 3 person singular!

Have fun

Like you I am an English teacher. Because in my country the crisis is particularly bad and teachers have lost a percentage of their wage, I would like to find a way of earning some extra money. Do you know of any reliable ways of making money from home or through the internet. I never trust the Internet because we hear a lot about scams but maybe any of you knows some site I could trust.
Thanks for your help.
Please answer directly to my email.

I agree with Liberty belle.Keep it simple!!

You can also fill a bag (not transparent) and ask sts to pick out some school objects you have already inserted into it.

Then they can make up a story following the order of the objects .

Ex:Once upon a time a pencil (after someone picks up a pencil ) decided to go for a walk. Then (a student picks a rubber) he met Miss Rubber....and so on!!Have fun !!!

Ask a student to write the story on BB.After the game they copy it into their notebooks.
This game develps both listening, creative and writing skills.

Hi there dear Epit

What a great idea.

How about this:
I know a fishmonger called Ned
Who is soon to be wed.
He lives in Manchester
And loves a girl named Francesca.
He enjoys hot, sweet tea.
But she likes cold black coffee.
He loves hamburgers in buns of wholewheat.
But she doesn t like meat.
He dislikes dogs and cats.
She has five of each for catching rats.
He hates the rain.
She likes to walk in it with her Great Dane.
Oh, how will they ever live together
Through the good and the bad, the hot and the cold weather?

Hope it s  not too difficult for your students and that they can enjoy it.
By the way, if you are looking for rhymes you can just type "words that rhyme with together" etc. into google, I do it sometimes and you get some great lists.

Hugs
Julia

Can this help? I like rhymesThumbs Up!!!

I know a fishmonger called Silvester.
He lives in Manchester
with his parents and one sister.
He loves a girl named Heather,
who likes to wear leather.
He likes tea and sugar,
and that is not at all vulgar!
He likes hamburger,
but he prefers cheeseburger.
He dislikes cucumber
only during September...
And he hates rainy weather
if they don t stay together.

Today they are reflectors on roads to help people see the lines on the road at night.

When I was a little girl ( a million years ago) we played with marbles/ allies and having cat s eyes marbles were worth more. Marbles were made of glass and some looked like the eyes of a cat.

Hope this helps.
