Hii Mary!
I teach a lot vocabulary firstable in all my courses.
e.g.
I first show them a pic with a verb, adjective, noun ... it all depends on what you want them to learn first. I begin qith verbs.
One side of the flash has a pic, the opposite has the word, I am used to introduce 40 verbs.
Then I show the pics and ss. name them. After they play with a domino (pics and words) or a memo. At last dictation, they normally learn 90% verbs.
I work same way with opposites, nouns, parts of the body... I hope this could help you

Have a nice week

Hi

Ifound this site a while ago and have already used it several times - it s really useful, I use it with kids, but I can t see why it wouldn t do with adults.

This is one of the exercises I made, check it, if you want.

And you can use all the exercises by other members, for free.

Have a nice Sunday.

Maybe if you include literature in your lessons or maybe fairy tales if they are children..... You can also find some  cartoons in english on utube.... This will help with their vocabulary alot
