Green salad or lettuce

Hello everyone,

I need some help. Is is possible that in the menu we can see written just lettuce instead of green salad?

Many thanks.

Personally I ve never seen that.  It should be green salad.

Yes. Lots of British people talk about lettuce rather than "green salad".

Maybe in a restaurant that is frequented by many models, where they really do serve lettuce on it s ownLOL I myself have only ever seen green salad , and lettuce written as an ingredient.

@evinches,
But have you seen "lettuce" written as a menu item, rather than an ingerdient in a salad? Here in the US it doesn t happen.

If I saw lettuce on a menu, I d think they were having a laugh. It s green salad. I d never order it, either way. Why would anybody bother chewing  something like that?
