Language acquisition... any good books?
|
Hello,
The Principal of my school has asked me if I could recommend any good books about philosophy of language acquisition. She said she would like to spend some time this summer readng a good boook about philosophy of the 1st or 2nd language acquisition.
Frankly, I couldn t recommend any books straight away but I promised to research the internet and get back to her. I discovered that there are so many books out there and now I find it difficult to choose one.
If you know any books about philosophty of language acquistion (by people of any age) that is informative, but not overloaded with linguistic jargon, could you let me know please?
Thank you! |

Hi, some ideas are ... "How languages are learned" by Lightbown and Spada, and "Second language learning and language teaching" by Vivian Cook.
Have a nice day! :) |
