It should be saints - it s plural.  Toast is toasted bread, stout means a bit fat and for some reason, these saints are in ten tall tents!

Fascinating!

Here is the hardest tongue twister in the world (I kid you not!) - it a lady s name, only 4 syllables in total. I bet you anything you can t say it three times quickly!

Peggy Babcock.

No linking word is missing. It s a possessive - ten tall tents belong to those saints so you are  told to send toast to those men s ten tall tents:)
Send toast to ten stout saints ten tall tents.
I ve also seen a different version with one more word:
Send toast to ten tense stout saints ten tall tents. BTW heres an audio for it:)

@Lynne: Yep, I did. It was fine until I tried to pronounce it faster:)

The word saints are both plural and possessive - the apostrophe comes after the S.
Saints

It is also called a tongue twister because to say it twists your tongue in knots!!
(not literally - just a figure of speech)

It means: Someone should send toast to the 10 tall tents that have 10 chubby saints staying in them. So each saint has a very tall tent and each chubby saint is going to get toast.

Stout can mean many things - but is opposite to a tall slim person. I would guess that they are round and a bit fat or chubby.

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers!
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers -
how many pickled peppers did Peter Piper pick?
