Dear collegues,
 Could I ask to give an exact translation of the extract:
(It �s the beginning of a topic about good/bad luck superstitions)

Many theatres have cats, largely because all theatres
have mice .One cat was always an investor  in the 
shows that came into his theatre (the crew helped 
with the paperwork) and did quite nicely out of it.
