ESL Newsletter

I am going to produce a monthly newsletter about our department - EAL in a secondary school - for the mainstream teachers. I ll include sections on: resources of the month / star student of the month / interview with a teacher (in which some students interview a colleague and produce a fact file about them) / a good website to check out...

Can anybody suggest anything else? Basically, I want to raise the department s profile and provide a fun read for the staff.

I would add the poem of the month or short story and the joke of the month.
Hope it helps

How about a fun "wish and regret" part for the students and teachers.
I wish i had a cup of tea brought in to me whenever I feel so disappointed by my students behaviour
I am sorry I never get A s in English! I wish mrs Lynne were more generous.

Many thanks for your suggestions, friends. I liked them all. Only one thing, you would never hear my students say, I wish Mrs Lynne was more generous. That would be quite impossible.Wink
I m gonna keep you informed about this project!
