Dear teachers, I was asked to teach essay writing this year to my 11 years old students (upper elementry). I am a little hesitant about which type of essays should i start with. Which type of essay writing should I start with and why? Thx in advance for all your answers |

Hi!  Maybe, you could ask them to describe their favourite teacher (physical description + personality). It should be easy - VERB to BE, to HAVE, a few adjectives and some basic forms of Simple Present. My students love describing their favourite teacher because they can say nice things about him/her. Some of their essays are often really cute  I usually require approximately 120 - 150 words (super short essay, I know). Hope this helps. Hugs, Alessandra
