Class reps in the USA ????

Hi everyone,
I m working on a unit with my 8th grades / Year 9 / 4 about school elections and class representatives. Could you briefly tell me how it works in the US. I know that there s a student council but are there "class reps" like in France (2 students who represent the class all year long)?
Hope you can help me. I m a bit stuck and I can t find anything on the Internet.
Thanks in advance.

United States

each year the students usually elect a Student Body:

President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer

Many schools also elect each office for each grade(year) as well.

The Senior Class President then usually haeds the student council.

Cheers,
Douglas
