Can anyone take a look at the text below and correct my mistakes?

This year we went orienteering in Sr Lenangen. Orienteering day was launched a day before an autumn breakTen orienteering posts were set up of by the course planners. The students had practised in advance to locate cardinal points on the topographical map. The moment we arrived at the orienteering place, we found on the map where we were.  We went up from school and started looking for orienteering post put up along the lighted running track. The students were split into groups and went around searching for the posts. On the way to the running track almost everyone managed to find 4 orienteering posts. We pitched a camp and from there the students started searching for  the rest of the posts. It was exciting and challenging to run around in the woods  and wild marshland. Some posts were set up a long distance from the base and they were hard to locate but many of the students managed to do so. We made a bonfire, barbecued food, picked berries and had a whale of a time !
