I don t know about BE, but in the US, we "do handicrafts" or "do a handicraft".
We would use "make" if we talk about the item(s) we produce.
I like to do handicrafts. I like to make gewgaws.

gewgaw...great word, Bruce!
I would use the word crafts (I like to do crafts), without the handi . Is there a differrence? |

No difference, Marion. In fact, "handicrafts" is fading from use, with "crafts" becoming much more common. Bruce |
