Communicative learning

Hi teachers,

Have you got any funny idea to teach the difference of use of adverbs and adjectves in a communicative way?

thanks!

Hi! My students love these, they makes us all laugh. I kind of dance a little and they laugh at me too. We have fun, especially with the adverbs song... I catch my students singing it during their breaks.
As for the communicative part, I like to open with a Mad-Lib. Those things really rock for teaching parts of speech. I then ask them to choose 1 verb and 1 noun, and to describe each. We discuss the fact that the words that describe the verb are adverbs and the ones that describe the noun are the adjectives.
Then we play the adverb song again, because they love it. Also because it helps them remember that "an adverb modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb."
I hope this helps :)
(Good luck getting that song out of your head!)
