In order to get help the first rule of thumb is that what you say MUST make sense!! This is utter NONSENSE... |

Dear harelyta,
I would say something like this:
Cheer up!Your family is a blessing! or Cheer up!Having a family is a blessing!
But you better wait for Spanish native speakers!
Hope this helps.

Take courage! your family is a blessing.
something like that but maybe really Spanish natives could be a better help |

Unfortunately zero-pointer mydesk is right. Frankly, I dont understand why a family should be good news. It doesnt make sense to me |

"Cheer up, you have family."
or
"Cheer up, youre blessed with family."
or
"At least youre blessed with a good family."
(I don t speak Spanish anymore so take it for what its worth.)
Douglas
PS- I find it a little sad to think people find this as nonsense--having a good family is a very good reason to look on the "bright side of life". |

Hi Douglas
All the translations you provided are beautiful and I agree with the content of them: having a family is a blessing. But the thing is that the phrase in Spanish is nonsensical, thats the point! |

How about:
Cheer up, you have a great family. Or - Hey! What a great family you have. Or Hey, you have a wonderful family!
Simple but to the point I think.

Thank a lot!!
"nimo!! Tu familia es una buena noticia is a phrase to start the new month of December.......it s what all the teachers use to decorate the English site, of course spanish teachers from different areas also use this one. I work in a Catholic school and we work with these kind of phrases each month. We elaborate twelve phrases at the start of the year with the help of the priest we work with.....Maybe I wasn t clear.....that s all.................Thank you very much for your big help.......
Have a great weekend
Regards
