Hi
while teaching i came across some grammar problems. please help me sort out them.

(1) It s not ___ rat, it s ___ mouse. (a/an/the)
(2) where to use tall enough and where enough tall
 - he is tall enough/enough tall to become a basket ball player.

It s not a rat, it s a mouse.

We don t use "enough tall" except in something like

There aren t enough tall people in the group to form a good basketball team.

To mean "sufficiently tall", you would always use "tall enough".

To further explain "enough tall," in Bruce s example of "enough tall people," enough is an adjective describing people, specifically how many people. In "tall enough," as in "The child was not tall enough to ride the roller coaster," enough is an adverb describing the adjective tall. I hope this pads out Bruce s excellent explanation.
