I have a doubt in powerpoint.
 
Hi,
 
I have a doubt in powerpoint. I need your help please from who are experienced with using powerpoint.
 
I want to let a word appears just by clickon on the word itself.
I tried many times.
See what I did and tell me please where is the wrong step ?
 
1- I wrote a word in a shape.
2- added effect  - entrance - blinds
3- double clicked
4- Chose Timing - Triggers
5- clicked on start effect on click of ( round rectangle )
 
When I clicked on the shape , nothing appeared   Why!!!!!
and the next slide appeared !!

Hi!

 
What I do is:
I select the word I want,then I add the effect I want, then entrance and click on the effect  I chose (just click once).
Then, I keep on selecting all the words,  sentences or even the whole text I want to appear. and add another effect.

If I just select one word and add an effect it means that all the rest will be the first thing to appear on the slide before the word I have sellected.

I have many ideas in my mind
 
e.g.  I have three spaces  of three words ,
 
- - -
 
I want my student to choose a space and click on it.
Then I want the word appears after she clicks the space she chooses.
 
 
I hope now it is clear.

Hi,
I know what you mean. I had trouble with that at first too. Very frustrating, indeed.
But also very simple, as long as you do the right thing.
Computers are a male invention, and just one simple, tiny mistake can spoil the fun :(
What i can see, you did alright, but for one thing (#4)
Insert textbox.
Type the text.
Choose the animation (appear or blinds etc)
Choose the way: on click or better: with/after previous!!!!!
Choose timing options for speed etc.
and
When you play the slideshow, click only once!!!
 
I would suggest to check out my contributions, and look at the animations, but I don �t have one uploaded with the effects you want.  May do so later.
Hope this helps, with all the others � advice.
Just for comfort: You can only teach if you can learn first!

Click on the event and then timing.  Trigger on the shape that would be clicked on that stars the event.
